Crystal Bowl Meditation w/ Jennifer Hudson
Jennifer Hudson has been a Certified Music Therapist for ten years. She has worked with people of all ages and from all walks of life. Out of all of the work she does with sound and music, she has found that the sound of the Crystal Singing Bowls are the perfect vehicle for the transmission of healing light energy. The way that they resonate fills the listener with sound vibration and absorbs the mind’s attention allowing a quieting of mind chatter thus offering the experience of deep relaxation and connection to the Divine. The bowls are made of clear quartz crystal that is ground into a fine dust and then reheated to very high temperatures and molded into a bowl form. There is little recorded data about the effect that the bowls have on the mind, body, and spirit. However, in her three years of working specifically with the bowls people have reported that they bring a deep relaxation and sense of peace with their sound. One woman said “It’s like having my battery recharged”. Still another reported “I’ve never been able to experience a quieting of the mind until meditating on the sound of the bowls.” Jennifer also reports that for her personally, the bowls have supported many of her own healing moments and served to balance and renew her on every level according to her highest need at the time they are reverberating their unique song. She is always excited to share their beauty and power. www.lovenotesmusictherapy.com

Inipi (Sweat Lodge) Ceremony with Suwaylu and Petros
The Sweat Lodge is made of saplings set in the ground in a circle and lashed together to form a rounded frame, which is then covered with blankets, blocking out all light. The door to the Lodge is built low so we have to enter on our knees, a reminder to be humble and to understand we are no greater or lesser than other life-forms. There are four rounds; one to honor each cardinal direction. At the beginning of each round, stones heated on a fire adjacent to the Lodge are brought in and placed in a pit in the center. Once the door is closed, prayers and songs of gratitude are offered to the Spirits and energies representing that particular direction.
It is suggested to fast or eat lightly before entering the Lodge, and to spend some time contemplating one’s intention for the ceremony. Men usually wear shorts or trunks, and women traditionally wear loose-fitting dresses or skirts, although shorts are also acceptable.
While our Lodges are based in the Native American tradition, we honor many other paths as well, and the gifts of all are welcome to be shared in the Lodge.
A woman of vision, Suwaylu Anniah is the founder and Minister of The Lord’s Chapel. For over 40 years she has provided the congregation and welcomed guests her in-depth knowledge of the practices and beliefs of religions and spiritual practices from around the world. Her unique style of Sunday Service including invocation, communion and healing circle all create an energy within each individual and synergy within the group. In addition to her work with The Lord’s Chapel, Suwaylu is the founder and steward of The Land Celebration, the Chapel’s 43 acre recreational facility located in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Over the past 20 years Suwaylu has transformed this property into a sacred spiritual experience with overnight accommodations for up to 50 people (plus camping). Many groups and organizations use The Land Celebration as their retreat destination. Professionally, Suwaylu offers spiritual consult to individuals and groups. Pulling from her extensive background in spiritual practice and community service, Suwaylu listens, counsels and leads in a way that honors each person’s uniqueness helping them to integrate mind, body and spirit into their personal journey, fostering growth in each step. With her conviction in our connection to Mother Earth as Spirit manifesting in form, Suwaylu facilitates others connection with Spirit through a variety of sacred rituals including guided meditation, prayer, affirmation, personal expression, drumming circles, ceremonies honoring solstices and equinoxes, sweat lodges and rites of passage. In all that she does, Suwaylu projects the vision that we are all One, worthy and evolving perfectly into the divine spiritual beings we are intended to become. There is only a thin veil that separates us from our divine selves and that veil is easily removed when compassion and unconditional love are present.
