Spiritual Discussion

February 9 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Introduction to Shamanic Journeying

This will be an experiential shamanic journeying circle.

Shamanism is a path of direct revelation. Shamanic journeying is a method or technique used to gain direct contact with our compassionate helping spirits for purposes of divination/problem solving and healing.

During this sacred circle you will learn how to enter an altered state of consciousness and experience the spiritual dimension of nonordinary reality, where you will meet and work with a compassionate helping spirit. This will be accomplished through specific guidance and repetitive drumming provided by the facilitator (Mike Duggan).

Please note: There will be periods of drumming/rattling by all circle members during the session, but this is not a dedicated drumming circle.

Please bring:

a drum and/or a rattle, if you have them;

a pad and pen to record your journey experiences;

-a bandanna or other eye cover, if desired;

-a blanket or large towel to lie down on while journeying, if desired.

Price: Free. (But heartfelt donations to our wonderful Chapel are vital, welcome and greatly appreciated!)

Come to our next Spiritual Discussion Circle. Everyone is welcome to come and discuss freely.

Winchester Spiritual Circle is a discussion group about spiritual topics. We provide a safe space where everyone’s thoughts values and concepts are respected. We try to discuss the topics which are well thought of but rarely discussed openly and unbiasedly because of the emotions it brings up. It is interesting to hear the different concepts and beliefs of everyone. While listening to other perspectives and beliefs we can reevaluate our own perspectives and get other ideas for spiritual sources inspirations and avenue. Our topics so far have been:

  1. What is your concept of God, Spirit or energy you have today.
  2. What was your spiritual journey.
  3. What is your favorite modality, book, seminar, practice you would like to speak on.
  4. We always want to help others in need but when is helping, enabling?
  5. What is your concept of life after and before death if you have one?
  6. Protectionism, do you believe it is or is not necessary? How and why?
